Mortal Kombat Unchained is a special enhanced version of Mortal Kombat Deception. The graphics in the game are completely three-dimensional. A huge number of arenas, characters, combos of blows, fatality and blood. The game has everything that people like in Mortal Kombat. In addition to all modes from Deception, including Konquest mode, the game also has Endurance mode (battle for survival).
In the game there are such characters as: Ashrah, Baraka, Bo'Rai Cho, Dairou, Darrius, Onaga, Ermac, Goro, Havik, Hotaru, Jade, Kabal, Kenshi, Kira, Kobra, Li Mei, Liu Kang, Scorpion, Sub- Zero, Mileena, Noob Smoke, Raiden, NightWolf, Shao Kahn, Shujinko, Sindel, Tanya, Kitana, Jax, Frost, Blaze.
Highly interactive arenas have appeared in the MKU, consisting of several levels, having weapons and traps that can instantly kill the enemy. The invisible walls that could hit the enemy, causing him damage, disappeared. The Combo Breaker system was introduced, which allows you to interrupt the opponent’s combination three times per match. The characters got unique throws and victory racks (some of which were taken from MKDA). Also, some fighters got unique lifts after losing in the round (Sab-Ziro shoots ice at the floor to rise, etc.)
Mortal Kombat: Unchained is the title of the PlayStation Portable version of Mortal Kombat: Deception, developed by Just Games Interactive. The game was released on November 13, 2006, in North America; November 24, 2006, in Europe; and December 9, 2006, in Australia.
Unchained includes all the characters from the GameCube version, and four more characters — Blaze, Frost, Jax and Kitana — from Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance that are exclusive to the PlayStation Portable version. Three of the four characters have only one Fatality and no Hara-kiri in contrast to other characters, most likely because that was all they had in Deadly Alliance. Exclusive to the Unchained version is the Endurance mode, where players can compete against a constant wave of opponents. The system's wireless ad hoc network functionality can be used for multiplayer games. Characters who remain hidden in the other versions appear unlocked by default in Unchained; producer Shaun Himmerick explained that the staff wanted to show players characters that were difficult to obtain in Deception, such as Liu Kang. Although Midway did not develop the game, they helped Just Games Interactives optimize their code and the Wi-Fi feature, as they wanted to keep the frame rate very high.
